The First WW Victory's Impact upon the Royal Carabinieri in Italy, 1919–1922

Description

The paper describes the impact of the end of the first World War in Italy and specifically on the Italian Carabinieri Corps. The Carabinieri have been involved along the war period as a combatant unit, military police, aviators, counter-intelligence specialists and many other activities on the front-line or in the Country far from the Italian army but close to the citizens. As law enforcement agency with military status the Carabinieri performed all the tasks they had at the time both on the civilian and on the military side.

At the end of the war the social-economic and political situation led the country in the arms of the fascism. So the so called Liberal Italy ended and started the dictatorship.
