Juvenile Arthurian literature has long assumed young male readers as its primary audience and highlighted knightly deeds as examples of virtue for boys to imitate. But recent works such as The Girl's King Arthur have examined the Arthurian tales from a new perspective and given voice to the women of Camelot.
