Molecular characterization and functional analysis of four teleostean K+ channels in macrophages of sea perch (Lateolabrax japonicas)
2017, Fish and Shellfish ImmunologyCitation Excerpt :Voltage-gated K+ channels (Kv) play critical roles in cellular functions in both excitable and non-excitable cells [1]. In addition, through controlling the membrane potential and calcium signaling, Kv channels regulate signal transduction pathways, thus fine-tune the activation and proliferation of macrophages and lymphocytes following antigenic stimulation [2–14]. Mammalian Kv channels are grouped into four major subfamilies termed Kv1 to Kv4 (corresponding to Drosophila's Shaker, Shab, Shaw, and Shal channels, respectively) [15,16].
