Summary

An unusual polyamine in some species of the genera Vibrio and Beneckea was identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry as norspermidine[3,3′-diaminodipropylamine] and its cellular concentration determined by gas chromatography. Norspermidine was detected as a major component in these species investigated.
