Although hostilities have ceased, the need for staff support continues, as Charlotte Alderman discovered

The unexpectedly quick cessation of hostilities in the Gulf is a cause for much relief, particularly among those with relatives and loved ones in the Armed Forces. But for those with this personal involvement, this may not be the end of the story. Some of those coming home will be traumatised by their experiences and, while out of the immediate danger to life and limb, may have considerable psychological readjustments to make.
