Art as medicine

Karen Birmingham Managing Editor, Cnp

A one-day art exhibition will be staged at the Royal College of Art, London, this month. The display of photographs, oils, watercolours, acrylics, pastels and charcoal portray womens’ experiences with cancer and has been created by patients, their families and friends, doctors and nurses. The collection is beautiful as the cover of this month’s CNP illustrates, and embodies the therapeutic power of art.
