ABSTRACT
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is by now rmly established as a modality to image the heart, not least because of its arguably unrivaled capabilities for control of soft tissue contrast, its versatility in characterizing myocardial tissue properties, and to measure and quantify myocardial motion. The purpose of this chapter is to introduce the reader to the different methods used to achieve comprehensive myocardial imaging.
