A study of the thermodynamics of chitosan interaction with polyvinyl alcohol and polyethylene oxide by differential scanning calorimetry

Abstract

Chitosan/polyvinyl alcohol and chitosan/polyethylene oxide blend films were prepared by coagulation from solutions. The interaction energy density B and interaction parameter x 12 of the components were estimated from the change in the melting point of the synthetic component in the blends.
