Abstract

A method for producing mesoporous titania modified with barium titanate has been developed. As the proportion of barium titanate in the samples increases, the specific surface area and average pore volume and radius decrease. The modified materials exhibit photocatalytic and sorption activity with respect to the Safranin T dye and the dichromate anion. The rate constants of photocatalytic reactions increase with an increase in the amount of the adsorbate.
