Abstract
Fundamental problems of the lattice thermal conductivity, including the validity of the Fourier law, are examined assuming simple model lattices; harmonic, isotopically disordered harmonic, non-linear, and isotopically disordered non-linear one-dimensional lattices. In the non-linear lattices energy is mainly transported by solitons, which play important roles in the heat conduction in the disordered non-linear lattices.
