Abstract

Traces of absorbed water are found to enhance electronic conduction in Prussian blue. The variation of the activation energy with the concentration of absorbed water and the temperature is studied. The mechanism of enhancement is explained as due to lowering of the activation energy of hopping electron transport by the high dielectric constant of absorbed water. A theoretical model is given to explain the results.
