Cluster synthesis using a methoxymethylidyne template

Abstract

H2Ru3(CO)93-COMe){Rh(CO)2PPh3} rearranges with loss of CO to form H2Ru3Rh(CO)10PPh3(µ-COMe) from which the Me group can be abstracted thus forming [H2Ru3Rh(CO)11PPh3].
