Synthesis of lycopodium alkaloids of the lycopodine structure type

Abstract

The total syntheses of the Lycopodium alkaloids lycopodine, deacetylfawcettiine, acetylfawcettiine, clavoloine, and annofoline by the elaboration of a hydrojulolidine, prepared earlier from dimethyl quinolinate, in few steps are described.
