Effect of tetrabutylphosphonium cation on the physico-chemical properties of amino-acid ionic liquids

Abstract

Tetraalkylphosphonium-based amino-acid ionic liquids show lower viscosities and higher decomposition temperatures (>300 °C) than previously reported ammonium-based amino-acid ionic liquids.
