Abstract
STUDIES of cell cooperation and of the carrier effect in the induction of antibody formation and in delayed hypersensitivity1 can predict, and have indeed shown2–4, that combining an antigenic determinant which evokes a powerful T cell response with a weak antigen should greatly enhance the immunogenicity of the latter by providing ‘antigenic help’.
