Different drugs arrest cells at a number of distinct stages in G2

Abstract

SEVERAL physical and chemical agents can induce susceptible mammalian cell populations to accumulate in the G2 phase of the cell cycle1–8. The question arises whether cells treated with different agents all accumulate at a single ‘restriction’ stage within G2 or, alternatively, stop at a variety of stages.
