Abstract
The three peptide chains in fibinogen are cross-linked at the N-terminal end of the molecule in a firm disulphide knot. The fibrinogen molecule is probably a dimeric structure with two identical disulphide knots located at opposite poles perpendicular to an axis of symmetry.
