Abstract
A STRICTLY exponential form of survival curve is much more rarely encountered in radiobiology than might be supposed from statements sometimes made. The form of survival curve illustrated by Fig. 1 (which would be sigmoid on a linear plot) has been established, with varying degrees of accuracy, for many single-cell populations, ranging from bacteria to mammalian cells.
