2022, Science of the Total EnvironmentCitation Excerpt :With time extension, the contents of FeMn oxide and carbonate form of Pb increased, whereas the content of exchangeable Pb decreased. The increase of FeMn oxide and carbonate bound Pb probably resulted from the formation of PbO, PbCO3, and precipitation lead phosphate ore during the immobilization process (Li et al., 2016; Sotiropoulou et al., 2010). At 7, 14, 21, and 28 d, it could be observed that the percentage of residual bounds of Pb for each of the five treatments was much higher than that of the CK.

2021, Journal of Environmental ManagementCitation Excerpt :It was reported that less adsorption of P on quartz than on goethite in red soil (Zhou et al., 2005). Formation of new specific adsorption sites as result of P interaction with soil colloids was another potential mechanism (Li et al., 2016). Red soil would naturally release Fe ions into water when pollutants are passing by despite limited Fe ions released.

2018, Science of the Total EnvironmentCitation Excerpt :The soil texture was analysed according to Ball (1964). Total Pb, Cu, Zn and Cd contents in soil were determined by inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) after mixed acid (HNO3-HClO4-HF) digestion (Li et al., 2016). The major physicochemical characteristics of the soil before and after washing are presented in Table 1.
