Abstract

A new sulfur-bridged diaza[3.3]metacyclophane, 1,11-(methanoaminomethano)−5H,7Hdibenzo[b,g][1,5]thiazocine (4) has been synthesized. The reaction of 4 with t-BuOCl or N-chlorobenzotriazole gave a novel hypervalent sulfur compound, dichlorodiazapersulfurane which was easily converted to the corresponding persulfonium ion.

The reaction of 1,11-(methanoaminomethano)-5H,7H-dibenzo-[b,g][1,5]thiazocine with t-BuOCl or N-chlorobenzotriazole gave a novel hypervalent sulfur compound, dichlorodiazapersulfurane 1 which was easily converted to the corresponding persulfonium ion 2.
