Abstract

Presented herein is the case of a 64-year-old man with 3-year-old antecedents of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and who complains of having had pain in the hypochondrium and right flank during five days prior. Upon being clinically diagnosed with probable appendicular abscess, computerized tomography of the abdomen and pelvis reveals an abscess in the right paracolic gutter containing a lithiasis in its interior. Subsequent surgery confirms the diagnosis of abscess caused by [lit-hiasis] billiary leakage.
