Effects of a proton scavenger on the thermoelectric performance of free-standing polythiophene and its derivative films
2013, Synthetic MetalsCitation Excerpt :Generally, the increase in carrier concentration causes the proportional increase in electrical conductivity but the logarithmic decrease in Seebeck coefficient for conventional semiconductors [21]. While the electrical conductivity of films obtained in BFEE with DTBP increases significantly, the Seebeck coefficient decreases slightly because electrochemical polymerization in BFEE with DTBP generally leads to good arrangements of the polymer chains, creating preferably oriented structures in the polymer films and increasing carrier mobility [22]. Fig. 4 shows the power factors of our samples from 100 to 300 K.
Synthesis, characterization and electrochemical properties of new functional polythiophenes
2010, Synthetic MetalsCitation Excerpt :In the recent years, inherently conducting polymers (ICP) such as polyaniline [1], poly(paraphenylene) [2] and polypirrole [3] have been extensively studied due to their remarkable electrical, optical and biological properties [4].
