Massive eversion of the vagina can be treated by a variety of transvaginal and transabdominal surgical techniques. Personal experiences with the use of transvaginal fixation of the vagina to the sacrospinous ligament combined with appropriate colporrhaphy in the surgical treatment of 163 of 173 cases of massive eversion of the vagina with operation performed between 1965 and 1979 are described.
