In this study, BAC at concentrations higher than 100 µM (~0.0028 %) caused a fast TEER reduction within the first 15 min.

Moreover, TMC is considered as a good penetration promotor, safer as well as biocompatible in comparison to the other permeation enhancers that are used for cornea drug delivery [53].
