Blepharospasm (BEB) is characterised by bilateral, and usually symmetrical and synchronous, contractions of the orbicularis oculi muscles, often with involvement of the frontalis and corrugator muscles. There may be associated dystonia of the lower face and jaw and of the neck muscles.
