2018, Journal of Drug Delivery Science and TechnologyCitation Excerpt :The negative zeta potential results from the egg-PC of the liposome formulation and ionization of the phosphate groups of the phosphatidyl choline. This suggestion is in line with the literature references [36,37]. Zeta potentials of the liposomes are affected by phospholipid concentration [38], active substances [39] and excipients [40,41].
Enhanced efficacy and immunogenicity of 78 kDa antigen formulated in various adjuvants against murine visceral leishmaniasis
2010, VaccineCitation Excerpt :The increased level of antibody was probably due to the masking of 78 kDa antigen by encapsulation in liposome. The response to the antigen require uptake, processing, and presentation of the liposomal antigen by antigen presenting cells (APC) with subsequent involvement of antigen specific T cells, resulting in a T-cell-dependent IgG response [99,100]. Also, liposomes specifically improve the antigen uptake by APCs such as macrophages.
