Subsequently, Obana et al. [32] reported the suppressive effect of coffee on the induction of SOS repair in Salmonella typhimurium by UV and genotoxic chemicals, which also included MNNG. These observations have been strengthened by the present work showing the antigenotoxic effect of coffee against MNNG in mammalian cells.
