Cerebral ganglioneuroblastoma of adult onset: Two patients and a review of the literature
2012, Clinical Neurology and NeurosurgeryCitation Excerpt :In case 1, the patient had a radiologically identified brain tumor for years showing progression 5 years later. Similar to infrequent observations of dedifferentiation in neuroblastomas it seems feasible that ganglioneuroblastomas may occasionally originate from more benign precursors such as a gangliocytoma [45–48]. Both ganglioneuroblastoma and neuroblastoma mainly appear before the age of 5, and the large majority occurs at extracranial sites.
