2018, Neuroscience LettersCitation Excerpt :Pcm is innervated by the somatomotor branch of the pelvic nerve, and electrical stimulation of this nerve increases intravaginal pressure and moves the tail to the midline [2]. Moreover, Pcm participates in the dorsiflexion (lordosis) evoked by male stimulation during copulation [1,6] as well as in tail deviation to facilitate penis intromission [2]. The multi-functionality of Pcm reflex activity described above has been poorly explored.
