Addition of EP2 agonists to an FP agonist additively and synergistically modulates adipogenesis and the physical properties of 3D 3T3-L1 sphenoids
2021, Prostaglandins Leukotrienes and Essential Fatty AcidsCitation Excerpt :Alternatively, in antisense COX-2-expressing cells, this lipid accumulation mechanism can be reversed by the presence of either PGF2α or PGE2 [15]. Thus, PGF2α and PGE2 are known to potently inhibit adipocyte differentiation by specifically blocking the expression of the proadipogenic transcription factors PPARγ and C/EBPα [16-19]. Possible roles of the FP receptor could include the activated FP receptor initiating several types of intracellular signaling through the phospholipase C/IP3R/Ca2+ pathway [20, 21].
