Conclusions
Mascerates of the central gelatinous portion, of the green vascular portion, and of the complete leaf ofAloe vera were tested for antibiotic activity both by the Oxford cylinder plate method and by the turbidimetric method. Within the limits of the experiments described, no antibiotic effect of these mascerates was observed when tested againstStaphylococcus aureus andEscherichia coli.
