Polyelectrolyte Complexes of Fibroin with Chitosan

Abstract

Fibroin - chitosan polyelectrolyte complexes are studied by X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, and scanning calorimetry. Mechanical characteristics and the swellability of the blend films at various pHs are examined.
