Abstract

Methane adsorption on Mo/HZSM-5 and Pd–Ga/HZSM-5 was investigated by TPD. Even at 323 K, methane could adsorb on the catalysts. It dissociated transferred to the high hydrocarbons with temperature increase. The enough concentration of intermediates is necessary step for aromatics formation. The higher ability of hydrogenation over Pd–Ga/HZSM-5 than that over Mo/HZSM-5 was probably the reason for the rich in hydrogenation products and the lack of H2.
