Waar Frederieke Schaafsma in 2007 promoveerde op de toepassing van evidence-based medicine (EBM) bij de beantwoording van praktijkvragen van bedrijfsartsen, zet Nathalie Hugenholtz deze lijn voort met haar proefschrift over de kennisinfrastructuur die bedrijfsartsen nodig hebben voor een effectieve toepassing van EBM. Zij groepeert die kennisinfrastructuur in vier clusters: educatie- en trainingsfaciliteiten
