Summary
Isothiocyanates react with deprotonated SH groups of investigated compounds to give the esters of N-monosubstituted dithiocarbamic acid. In the presence of the SH and NH2 groups (Cys, GSH), isothiocyanates react primarily with the SH groups. The reactions are dependent on the pKaSH values.
