A fine-structure map of the yeast L-asparaginase gene

Molecular and General Genetics MGG Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Summary

A fine-structure map containing 14 mutational sites in the yeast L-asparaginase gene has been constructed by using X-ray-stimulated mitotic reversion. From this map is deduced a minimum molecular weight of each L-asparaginase polypeptide monomer (8 200 to 10 000) and a minimum size of the yeast L-asparaginase gene (225–270 nucleotide pairs).
