Abstracts
Selfing of cabbage plants in the bud stage can be rapidly carried out by the use of a pair of scissors, specially modified for this purpose. This method can also be used to advantage in cross-pollination, but it is a little less reliable than the use of a pair of forceps. Furthermore a few points are discussed which are of importance to obtain a good setting of seeds.
