Abstract

Cyanobacterization of rice fields is capable of meeting a considerable proportion of rice nitrogen demand (Subramanyan et al., 1965; Yanni and Abd-El-Rahman 1993) and of regulating the N status of the rice ecosystem (Yanni et al., 1988). This work is concerned with the contribution of cyanobacteria to the incidence of infection with some fungal and insect pests of rice under different schedules of agrochemical applications.
