The Quality of Life in Life-Threatening Illness – Family Caregiver Questionnaire© is a 17-item multidimensional tool designed to measure the caregiver’s own state, distress experienced due to the patient’s state, environment, outlook, financial worries, relationships, and quality of care as well as overall quality of life. Created for family caregivers of people at all stages of a life-threatening illness (from diagnosis to cure or death), the QOLLTI-F was designed to assess general domains applicable to all of these family caregivers. Its content is based on a qualitative study that asked family caregivers of palliative care patients what is important to their quality of life.
