Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über den aktuellen Stand zum Einsatz von Mobiltelefonen und mobilen Smart-Devices in der medizinischen Versorgung, Prävention und Gesundheitsförderung und berücksichtigt dabei sowohl die deutsche und internationale Praxis als auch den jeweiligen Forschungsstand. Ziel ist es, einen Einblick in die Charakteristika von mHealth (mobile health), Angebote auf dem aktuellen Markt, Nutzung und Nutzungsbarrieren, verschiedene Präventionsansätze sowie Selbstmanagement von Erkrankungen unter der Anwendung von Gesundheitsapps zu geben.
