Zusammenfassung
Der Medizintourismus hat infolge der rasanten Marktentwicklung internationale Aufmerksamkeit erlangt. Trotz gewisser Risiken und hoher Anfangsinvestitionen gilt die Sparte Medizintourismus auch in Europa als lukrative Einnahmequelle mit hohem Entwicklungspotenzial. Ziel des Beitrags ist es, einen Orientierungsrahmen für die strategische Planung von Aktivitäten in diesem Segment zu bieten. Im Mittelpunkt der Ausführungen stehen strategische Analysen und die Formulierung von Wettbewerbsstrategien und Wertschöpfungsstrategien im Medizintourismus. Dabei werden die speziellen Merkmale, Anforderungen und Dynamiken im Medizintourismus erläutert und erfolgreiche Strategien etablierter internationaler Anbieter anschaulich dargestellt.
