Plant Hormone Immunoassays Based on Monoclonal and Polyclonal Antibodies

  • Chapter
Immunology in Plant Sciences

Part of the book series: Modern Methods of Plant Analysis ((MOLMETHPLANT,volume 4))

Abstract

This chapter describes the immunoassay of the acidic plant hormones, i.e. the gibberellins (GAs), indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) and abscisic acid (ABA). The other major class of plant hormones for which immunoanalysis is appropriate, the cytokinins is discussed in Chap. 2, this Volume. However, the technical aspects involved in the immunoassay of both basic and acidic plant hormones are very similar.
