Abstract
Epidemiological evidence is accumulating on cancer risks related to non-occupational exposures with primary sources indoors, such as environmental tobacco smoke, radon, cooking fumes and mineral fibres. Most of the data is focused on lung cancer risks and on women because they are believed to receive the heaviest residential exposures. For clarity the different exposure factors will be treated separately, although it is realised that they often occur together, and that interactions may be of importance.
