Abstract
Microneurovascular techniques allow the transplantation of a muscle from one location to another with maintenance of contractile capability. Reinnervation is produced by suturing an undamaged motor nerve in the recipient site to the transplanted muscle’s motor nerve. This technique allows a major muscle deficit to be reconstructed using a functioning muscle transplantation.
