Zusammenfassung

Schmerz wird von der Stelle, wo er ausgelöst wird, durch rasch leitende myelinhaltige A-Fasern und langsam leitende, myelinfreie C-Fasern zum Rückenmark geleitet. Experimentelle Arbeiten der letzten Jahre brachten neue Erkenntnisse über den Mechanismus der Schmerzauslösung und die Neurotransmission der dünnen afferenten, nociceptiven Fasern.
