Zusammenfassung
Eine keratolytische Wirkung im engeren Sinn bedeutet die Auflösung der oberflächlichen Korneozyten, der Nägel oder der Haare. Dieser Effekt wird klinisch bei der Warzenbehandlung, bei Enthaarungscremes und bei der Nagelauflösung, z. B. bei Onychomykosen angestrebt. Um Missverständnissen vorzubeugen, wird dieser Effekt im Folgenden als Proteolyse bezeichnet.
