Abstract
Reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) represents a novel approach for the evaluation of the skin enabling the en-face visualization of the epidermis and superficial dermis at a nearly cellular-level resolution. This new diagnostic technique has several advantages because it is performed in vivo, it is a noninvasive, painless procedure that does not cause tissue damage.
