Abstract
This paper presents the results of the manufacturing ceramic nanopigments with spinel structures Zn x Cu 1 - x Cr 2 0 4 with stoichiometry x = 0, x = 0,5 and x = 1 using the method of Combustion Solution synthesis. This method become an attractive alternative by obtaining nanopigments to lower temperatures that other synthesis reducing manufacturing costs, lower fuel consumption, less wear on equipment and other environmental and economic implications. Also it is possible to have control over features such as stoichiometry, morphology of the products, reaction times and purity of the phase obtained. The products obtained by this route were characterized using different techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), UV-VIS spectrophotometry and colorimetry CIEL*a*b*. Particle size of the nanoparticles obtained by the spinel structures was less l00nm.
