Abstract

Laryngeal cancer and the treatments employed to eradicate it may lead to functional repercussions such as dysphagia. Surgical resection of laryngeal cancer may lead to predictable patterns of dysphagia, while nonsurgical treatments may lead to less predictable outcomes. The assessment and treatment of dysphagia in this population is critical for achieving optimal success. In this chapter, expected dysphagia phenotypes and methods of rehabilitation will be highlighted.
