Fuel Cell System Economics

  • Chapter
Fuel Cell Systems

Abstract

Chapter 6 on the design and optimization of fuel cell systems has quite clearly shown the importance of understanding how various components of a fuel cell system interact. However, the technology issues concerning fuel systems cannot be considered in isolation, and a detailed analysis of the economics of fuel cell systems must also be made. In essence, this chapter will report the results of an extensive set of economic analyses that has been used to assess the future commercial prospects of fuel cell systems.1
